Dauterive Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (DOSM) officially opened July 27, 2009. What began as a loose collaboration of ideas between orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Seth Rosenzweig and Dauterive Hospital in 2007, DOSM today proudly offers state of the art orthopaedic care with dedicated hospital support for any additional needs.

Raised in Monroe, Lousiana, Dr. Rosenzweig received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University and his Medical Degree from Tulane.. He began his orthopaedic residency at Tulane and Charity but finished his training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In addition to the standard five years of orthopaedic training, Dr. Rosenzweig has undertaken two additional years of subspecialty training to bring the latest surgical skills and technologies to the New Iberia area. He focused this training in sports medicine and joint replacements.

Dr. Rosenzweig is Board Eligible under the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedics Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Rosenzweig has three children: Luke, Dennis, and Camille, and is married to Julie DesOrmeaux of Abbeville, Lousiana.
